by West Coast rapper The Game and his Robin Hood project continue to help families in need following catastrophic incidents. His latest good deed is covering the funeral expenses for a 7-year-old boy, who was reportedly a bystander in an apparent gang-related shooting in L.A.
Game also received contributions from some gang leaders to help the child’s family.
The victim, Talib Pecantte, was shot while sitting in a car with his mother and brother on Monday in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles. He died on Tuesday.
The Game also spoke with the gang leaders about stopping the shootings, especially during the holiday season.
“I figured I would give all the members and all the people and dudes on the street an opportunity to set a short-term goal and at least not shoot or kill anything at least through Christmas,” he told TMZ.
The Game called for support for the campaign via his Instagram, asking people to spread the message. "WE ARE ALL RESPONSIBLE TO ASSIST IN PRESERVING OUR CHILDRENS FUTURE. Take action NOW !!!!!!!! These kids deserve to be cared about….. & since it starts with me………. #CeaseFireLA," he wrote.
