T.I. Talks Troubled Past, Rihanna & Chris Brown, More With Joy Behar

T.I. visited Joy Behar’s TV show “Say Anything!” recently where he opened up on a plethora of topics including his troubled past, being compared to the Huxtables, Chris Brown and Rihanna, and more. Check out some of the excerpts below from the interview. T.I.’s new album, Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head, will arrive December 18th.

On being under the microscope…I never turn on or turn off for the cameras. There’s nothing that I’m not doing in my normal every day activity that I’m trying to keep away.

On his family being compared to the Huxtables (The Cosby Show)…”I’m extremely honored and flattered by that. I just hope to do half as good.”

On explaining his troubled past to his children… “I’m very honest and open with my kids…they know right from wrong. They support me and they know my heart is pure.”

Escaping a bad environment…”Nothing is impossible. It just requires the proper application of time, skills, ability and sacrifice.

On his past making his present…”it’s a double edge sword. I’m not condoning or trying to bring any glamour to the fact that I went to prison, but I must acknowledge that I’m a whole lot more popular now… However, if I had to do it all again, I’d definitely give it all back…If I knew then what I know now it would be easier.

On Chris Brown and Rihanna’s reunion: “I think that’s their decision. I know they have a lot of genuine love for one another. I don’t think that either of them would leave the other, go somewhere else, and find someone that would make them as happy.”
