In a legal battle that had more twists than a summer blockbuster, T.I. and Tameka “Tiny” Harris have secured a monumental $71 million victory against MGA Entertainment. This win comes after a rollercoaster of courtroom decisions.

Initially, in September 2024, a jury awarded the Harris family $71 million, recognizing that MGA’s “L.O.L. Surprise! O.M.G.” dolls had jacked the style and likeness of the OMG Girlz, a group formed by Tiny in 2009, featuring her daughter Zonnique “Star” Pullins, Bahja “Beauty” Rodriguez, and Breaunna “Babydoll” Womack. The $71 million included $17.9 million in actual damages and a whopping $53.6 million in punitive damages.

But the plot thickened. In January 2025, U.S. District Judge James V. Selna threw a curveball, suggesting that the punitive damages might be slashed due to what he saw as shaky evidence of MGA’s bad faith. This move threatened to cut the Harris family’s win down to just the actual damages.

However, in a dramatic turn, Judge Selna had a change of heart. On February 3, 2025, he reinstated the full $71 million award, acknowledging the jury’s original decision. This reversal was a testament to the Harris family’s relentless pursuit of justice and their refusal to back down.

Celebrating the victory, Tiny took to Instagram, writing, “Don’t play with God’s children!” She also gave props to their legal team for their unwavering support.

This case isn’t just about the money; it’s a powerful statement about standing up for what’s right and protecting one’s creative legacy. The Harris family’s journey underscores the importance of resilience and the belief that, no matter the odds, justice can prevail.
