50 Cent: The King of Petty

50 Cent: The King of Petty – How His Selfish Ways Keep Him in the Headlines

When it comes to holding grudges or being a downright asshole, nobody does it quite like 50 Cent. For the better part of his career, the Queens-bred rap mogul has made it clear that if you cross him or if he doesn’t like you, you’re going to feel his fury. Whether taking shots at rivals, airing out old beef, or being flat-out disrespectful, 50 seems to thrive off negativity. Some call it trolling, others call it business, but at the root of it all, one thing remains consistent; 50 Cent is all about self, no matter who gets caught in the crossfire.

There are countless instances of 50 Cent being ruthless to anyone in his path, and recently, we’ve all been watching and scratching our heads.

Take Big Meech and his son Lil Meech. Despite profiting off the legacy of Black Mafia Family by producing the BMF series, 50 has been anything but respectful toward the real-life figures behind it. He had no problem calling out Big Meech as a “rat” in public, even though there’s no evidence of Meech ever becoming a State witness. Whether true or not, 50’s approach is about flexing his power because Meech has been conducting business with Fiddy’s nemesis Rick Ross.

If that wasn’t enough, 50 also took shots at Big Meech’s son, Lil Meech, questioning his street credibility and constantly clowning him online. Instead of uplifting the young actor, who is keeping his father’s legacy alive through the show, 50 chose to belittle him. Ain’t that wild? The same man who built his career on street codes turned around and disrespected the very family that helped his TV empire grow.

50 made it a point to show how selfish and resentful he can be by sharing a text communication from Lil Meech:

“They just told me u unfollowed me off Instagram and now u managing Skilla baby with Rocket when I brought him around you first when u didn’t have a clue who he was. Now u mad at me when I would take the shirt off my back for you,” it reads. “I can’t believe this man. U act as if I’m your enemy. I’ve only showed u love and loyalty in human. I go thru my own shit but I never switched up on u.”

The message continued: “Fuck Ross but he gave my dad some bread so he can afford to pay his bills until our next season starts…Let me know how you’d like to incorporate this into the story.”

50’s response: “What next season little (n-word). Now, that’s ice gold!

Another recent example of 50 being flat-out merciless revolves around Irv Gotti. The Murder Inc. boss is reportedly in a coma due to health issues, and 50 couldn’t resist getting his jokes off. He took to social media, clowning Irv and acting like it was karma for their decades-old beef. “Damn, I wanted him to see my new shows yo!” 50 captioned an image that says friends and family are saying goodbye to Gotti.

Let that sink in; a man was fighting for his life (Irv Gotti passes away), and 50’s first instinct was to throw shade. It’s one thing to beef when both sides are active, but going at someone when they’re in a hospital bed? That’s next-level petty.

50’s selfishness isn’t just reserved for industry beefs. He also has a history of going after anyone who challenges his brand, including high-profile attorney Gloria Allred. When she took on a case that involved 50, he wasted no time attacking her on social media, calling her out by name and questioning her motives. “Gloria you’re not gonna get any money from me that way, but if you call me I’ll take you to dinner,” 50 unleashed.” Even against a legal powerhouse like Allred, 50 couldn’t resist taking the low road.

Then there’s his constant beef surrounding BMF co-founder Terry “Southwest T” Flenory’s case. Rather than supporting Southwest T’s legal battles or remaining neutral, 50 regularly speaks on the situation with little empathy. He never misses a chance to throw jabs, even when it comes to a man trying to gain his freedom.

We won’t even mention JaRule!

At the end of the day, 50 Cent’s brand is built on self-interest. He doesn’t just troll for fun; he does it because it keeps him relevant. Whether he’s dragging Irv Gotti out of his hospital bed, disrespecting Big Meech and his son, or clapping back at Gloria Allred, it’s always about him. The drama, the headlines, the controversy; it’s all part of the machine that keeps his name buzzing.

And let’s be honest, as long as 50 keeps winning in business and entertainment, he will not stop. The money’s still coming in, the power’s still in his hands, and the drama is still keeping his name alive. Hate it or Love it, the underdog’s on top!
