Kranium Returns with Groovy Dancehall Anthem “Cut The Link” Featuring Masicka

Kicking off 2025, Jamaican-born, Queens-bred artist Kranium delivers a potent message about loyalty and self-preservation in his latest release, “Cut The Link.” The track features fellow dancehall powerhouse Masicka, marking their third collaboration following their previous hits “Beach House” (2016) and “Fire In The Rain” (2017). Produced by heavyweight label TJ Records, known for their work with Vybz Kartel, Spice, and Popcaan, the song masterfully blends mellow acoustic guitar with contemporary Jamaican trap dancehall elements.

“After everything wah gwan… have to be sure ’bout the surroundings. Some are with you today and against you tomorrow,” reflects Kranium on the track’s central theme of betrayal and spiritual resilience. The accompanying lyric visualizer, directed by Divine Global and 17 Shots, complements the song’s introspective nature. This release follows Kranium’s recent successes, including his COLORS-premiered “Unfck You” and the viral hit “Higher Life” featuring Chronic Law, which has amassed over 9 million YouTube views.

The “Melody Gad,” as Kranium is known in the industry, has established himself as one of dancehall’s most decorated artists, holding multiple RIAA Gold, Canadian Platinum, and BPI Silver certifications. Since emerging with his breakthrough hit “Nobody Has To Know” in 2014, the Montego Bay native has collaborated with global stars like Ed Sheeran, Bebe Rexha, and Major Lazer. Fresh off performances in Nairobi, Kampala, and Dubai, Kranium continues his momentum with upcoming shows in London this February, followed by a North American spring tour, further solidifying his position as a leading voice in modern dancehall.
