NLE Choppa Pushes Genre Boundaries with ‘Dare U’ Imagine Dragons Collab

Memphis hip-hop powerhouse NLE Choppa continues to shake up the rap game, this time linking with rock titans Imagine Dragons for the genre-bending single “Dare U,” released through NLE Entertainment/Warner Records. The 22-year-old Memphis native brings his signature Southern trap energy to uncharted territory, proving his versatility as an MC.

On “Dare U,” Choppa’s razor-sharp verses cut through thundering production that marries trap 808s with stadium rock energy. His defiant bars like “They hating on me, but it made me go harder” showcase the same raw authenticity that made him one of hip-hop’s most compelling young voices. While Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds delivers the hook, it’s Choppa’s confident flow and street-smart wordplay that anchor the track.

“Imagine Dragons is legendary. To collaborate with them is a dream come true,” states NLE. “They brought out a different side of me, and together, we’ve created something truly special.

Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds adds, “Working with NLE Choppa was electric. His energy is infectious, and his talent knows no bounds. The synergy we found in creating this song was unmatched.”

“Dare U” follows Choppa’s acclaimed 2024 project PICASSO: SLUFFIN SZN X SLUT SZN. With 9 billion streams and 24 RIAA certifications under his belt, Choppa has established himself as more than just a rapper – he’s become a cultural force, expanding into film with NLE Choppa Presents: The Wash, and making waves in fashion through his Off-White NYFW collaboration.
