Lil Wayne Announces Release Date For “Dedication 6”

Lil Wayne is going to make a lot of rap music fans happy this Christmas.

The hip-hop heavyweight revealed that his DJ Drama-hosted ‘Dedication 6’ project will arrive on Christmas Day.

Taking to social media, Tunechi told followers, “It’s time,” adding, “Sign up for updates and music before drop date! To My fans, I do this for y’all! #D6 MERRY CHRISTMAS.” Along with the caption is the project’s album cover, which showcases the rap star in a black, white, and red illustration.

Weezy’s last ‘Dedication’ mixtape installment, D5, came out over four years ago (September 2013).

Lil Wayne has been quiet in releasing new music of late, which is attributed to his $51 million legal dispute with Cash Money. His ‘Tha Carter V’ will remain on the shelves until the suit is resolved.

In related Lil Wayne news, Birdman recently discussed the Cash Money-Weezy financial issues, saying he would settle everything with the rapper. “Bitch, you think I ain’t gonna make sure he straight?” said Birdman. “Suck a nigga dick, bitch. I’m gonna show all you pussy niggas that got in my business, fuck you nigga. I’m gonna show you don’t play with me, nigga. I’m what you call a fucking real mastermind.”

Lil Wayne’s last album came in 2015, when the rapper dropped the Free Weezy Album. He also released the mixtapes Sorry 4 the Wait 2 and No Ceilings 2 in 2015.
