Coming to MTV: Ja Rule’s Family Reality Show ‘Follow The Rules’

VH1 has “T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle,” so MTV must have thought they need another family oriented, hip-hop-headed family show. Much like “Run’s House,” MTV will be home to “Follow the Rules,” a show that will follow Ja Rule (Jeffrey Atkins) and his family antics.

Executive produced by Ja, Queen Latifah and Irv Gotti (along with Christian Sarabia and Shakim Compere) the series will show Ja and his wife Aisha as they try to manage their hectic-but-fun household consisting of both their mothers, their daughter, and two sons.

“I am truly honored and excited to be partnering with MTV and 51 Minds to bring you my new show ‘Follow the Rules,’” said Rule in a press release. “Family tradition will never be the same b*tch… Lmao!!!”

Susanne Daniels, President of MTV Programming added, “Ja Rule is the modern day reality rap star version of Bill Cosby’s role from ‘The Cosby Show.’ He embraces a unique parenting style with his teenage kids that feels fresh and funny. We’re excited to be in business with him and his delightful family.”

No word on when the show will premiere or how many episodes have been ordered.
