"The Funeral" is 50 Cent’s first release after announcing that he moved his G-Unit record label from Shady/Aftermath/Interscope and inked and independent deal with Caroline/Capitol/UMG. Of the record and visual, 50 says, "It's a concept for a story I wrote that’s written like film where it’s not all talk and one piece. There’s a lot of flashbacks. It starts at the end and goes back like the movies."
