Despite having an impressive cast and the Thanksgiving Holiday in play, "Black Nativity" got off to a slow start at the box office this week.
According to THR, "Black Nativity" opened low on Wednesday but picked up slightly on Thursday and Friday.
"The pic, playing in 1,516 locations and facing tough competition from African-American comedy The Best Man Holiday, should earn $5 million through Sunday," reports THR.
The ensemble cast of "Black Nativity" includes Nas, who plays a street Prophet (Isaiah), Jacob Latimore, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Tyrese Gibson, Mary J. Blige, Luke James and Jennifer Hudson.
