Jay Z may have moved forward with his designer collection partnership with high-end retailer Barneys, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to celebrate it.

The Hip Hop mogul has scrapped a planned pre-launch event for Wednesday (Nov 20) and a spokesperson for Barneys says, "Due to unforeseen circumstances, the event has been cancelled."

As previously reported, Jay Z was pressured by various groups to end his partnership with Barneys following allegations that two young black shoppers were detained by cops and questioned as to how they purchased their expensive items.

After meeting with bosses, the rapper agreed to move forward with the line on the condition he is involved with an investigation into the racism claims.
