Young Jeezy – It’s a Cold World (A Tribute to Trayvon Martin)

As emotions run high with the “not guilty” verdict of the trial of George Zimmerman in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin, Young Jeezy posted this track called “It’s A Cold World” on his Facebook page as a tribute to the 17-year-old who went to the store for snacks but never made it back alive.

"I am in no way shape, form, or fashion am trying to capitalize off of the latest series of events. These are my true feelings and my form of expression about it," he wrote. "I would like to offer strength to you and the family through this entire ordeal. I pray that justice is served and the memory of Trayvon is carried through you and through all of us," the rapper wrote to the family of the unarmed teen. "It's in GOD's Hands."

Lil Scrappy is another rap artist who paid tribute to Martin with “Trayvon Martin.”
