by Rapper Jay-Z has secured the required permit to perform a rooftop show in New York City's Times Square on July 8. According to the NY Post, local officials gave Hov permission to perform atop the Ed Sullivan Theater, which would coincide with his appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman," which tapes in the theater.
The appearance will promote Jay-Z's new album, Magna Carta Holy Grail, which drops on July 4.
