Police Report Reveals Witness Account of Rick Ross’ January Shooting Attempt

A new police report regarding the assassination attempt on Rick Ross in Ft. Lauderdale back in January has surfaced with witness accounts of the incident.

Two witnesses say they saw approximately four people inside an older model burgundy-colored BMW pull up alongside Ross' Rolls Royce before shots rang out from the passenger side window, causing the rapper’s vehicle to crash into a nearby restaurant.

"The witnesses ducked for cover in their vehicle due to the rapid gunfire, but were able to see the vehicle flee eastbound," the report says. Eighteen bullet casings were retrieved from the scene. The report also says Ross had a 9mm handgun, which he did not draw, but his concealed weapon permit was suspended.

Ross and the other passenger, girlfriend Shateria L. Moragne-el, was coming from breakfast after a long night of celebrating Ross' 37th birthday at a Miami Beach nightclub. The couple was not harmed in the attack.
