Snoop Lion Enlists Chris Brown, Drake, T.I, and More for Reggae Album

The world will soon get a chance to see the big Snoop Lion (Snoop Dogg’s raggae alter ego) transformation in full bloom, with the release of his new reggae album, Reincarnated, coming out on April 23.

Following a trip last year to Jamaica, the West Coast rapper made a surprising music career change from rap to reggae. For his newest project, Snoop has enlisted a great lineup of top artists that include, Chris Brown, Busta Rhymes, Drake, T.I., Rita Ora, and known dancehall artists Popcaan and Mavado.

"This record is all about paying homage and giving respect to those who created and love reggae music, and hopefully introducing it to a whole new audience," said Snoop in a statement. "I feel truly honored to make this album and respect to all who blazed the path for me."

The album will be produced by Major Lazer and Diplo, and will include the song “No Guns Allowed,” which features his daughter Cori B. The uplifting track is expected to be the lead single off the upcoming album. A documentary will also soon be released with the same name as the album, and will go nationwide in theatres on March 15.
