Love and Hip Hop (L&HH) has truly entertained us for these past 2 years. New York and Atlanta has taken us on a roller coaster and this new season is no exception. However, it’s easy to compare these characters through their struggle during the show. The outcome might be different, but it’s the same struggle none the less. Joe Budden vs. Steve J.

We love to hate these two. They both are charming, talented, and good looking men, but underneath it all, lives there demons. Steve J has changed the face of male species has a whole. The way he lied, manipulated, and cheated on his long time girlfriend can make your stomach turn. Our boy Joe have been struggling with drug addiction as well as having his share of women problems; the first episode was a perfect example.

Mama Dee vs. Mama Jones

They don’t play games when it comes to their boys. Mama Jones and Mama Dee had no problems saying what they felt when it comes to protecting their sons. In seasons one and two, Mama Jones and Chrissy was at each other’s throats when it came to Jim. Mama Dee kept it real with Scrappy. Whenever he came to her for advice, she held no punches. Her experience as a pimp gives her that edge and “take no mess” attitude. Where would L&HH be without the mamas? No where; and in that order!

Karlie Redd vs. Somaya Reece

L&HH can be seen as a plateau to launch careers. That’s the case when it comes to Karlie Redd and Somaya Reece. In the first season, Somaya comes to New York hoping to start her rap career. We watched her and her manager struggle to grab the industry’s attention. In ATL, Karlie Redd is on the prowl, looking for producers to give her a chance to show off her talents. We are patiently waiting for a single from them both.

Erika Mena vs. Joseline Hernandez

These two mamacitas are the cause for so much. Joseline has made a name for herself in L&HH ATL. With the mess her and Steve J caused last season, you have to watch out for next season. When we first met Erika Mena, we saw her feisty side with the drink she threw on Kimbella on season 2, but that’s nothing compared to her actions this season. She is arguing in almost every episode and coming for anyone that has anything to say about her.

Consequence vs. Jim Jones

There are two rappers that have real relationship problems. We have watched Jim and Chrissy’s relationship unfold in two seasons in L&HH. Jim was committed, but hesitant to propose, taking the final step. Consequence, like Jim, is committed, but because he is the primary bread winner in his household, him and his girl Jen, often have agreements over money. We see how Jim and Chrissy’s relationship ended up, wonder what’s going to come of Cons and Jens?

Emily B. vs. Erica

Commitment was something that Erica and Emily just couldn’t get. On season one of L&HH, Emily let us know that her man, Fabolous, wasn’t claiming her. Yes they had a child, and even lived together, but when it comes to letting the public know who she was, that was a no no. In ATL, Erica had her ups and downs with Scrappy. One week, Scrappy says that he loves her and want to be a family, then the next week he’s rubbing Buckey down with sun tan lotion. Why are men so difficult?

Kaylin Garcia vs. Kirk

The support duo! Kaylin is on this season’s LLH, supporting her man Joe Budden. In a past episode, Kaylin sits down and has a talk with Joe’s friend Raqi about Joey’s relapse. Kaylin bears her heart to Raqi about her intense love for Joe and her strong belief that he will get better and how she isn’t going anywhere. And who can’t forget Kirk; L&HH ATL’s manger and husband to rapper Rasheeda. Kirk had it hard being a manger and a husband to the same woman. You saw his and Rasheeda’s ups and downs, but at the end of the day, Kirk was 100% there for his woman.

K. Michelle vs. Winter Ramos

These two are shaking tables in the industry. K.Michelle reveled her alleged abusive relationship with music executive, Memphitz. Memphitz, who is now married to Toya Carter, denies the abuse completely. On this season, we have Winter Ramos, so is completing a tell-all book about secrets in the industry. “Game Over” (the title of the book), is a memoir about Winter’s famous ex lovers, career moves, and friendships.
