Eve Sets Release Date For First Album in 11 Years

A new album is on its way courtesy of the masterful Eve.

The artist put out word herself via Twitter in a tweet that simply said “Check this out tweeps” with a link to an article announcing the news on Billboard.com. The album will be entitled “Lip Lock” and is Eve’s first in 11 years.

Eve dropped the single, “She Bad Bad,” on Oct. 9 and released the video for it Jan. 8. It’s already gotten over 1.2 million views, so it’s safe to say we the fans, missed her.

"One of the biggest things that I wanted to do on this album was make people realize why they fell in love with me in the first place and then take them on a journey to where I am now musically. My ear is different but I think people will recognize me. I think you'll hear that I'm in a happy place. I miss my music. My hunger is different than the first time around," Eve said.

She plans on introducing some new sounds on her new album. “It’s not the sound that people are used to.”

“Lip Lock” will be released on Eve’s recently formed independent label, From The Ribs Music (FTR Music) and distributed through Sony/Red on May 17.
