A$AP Rocky has gotten some information worth shouting about.
He just landed No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts with his debut Long.Live.A$AP. This Harlem native was thrilled to hear the news and commented that receiving this spot was “crazy.”
The album actually leaked a month before its official release date but that clearly didn’t keep fans from rushing the stores when it came out. “It must mean the proof is in the pudding and people actually appreciate art again. I’m just thankful man,” the rapper said.
The set sold 139,000 copies in its first week and is the first debut album to reach No. 1 since 2Chainz’s Based on a T.R.U. Story that pushed its way to the top last September.
Bruno Mars’ Unorthodox Jukebox also claimed a spot on the list moving up 6-5 and the Pitch Perfect soundtrack went from 5-3.
