Rapper/producer Kanye West was handcuffed and taken to a Los Angeles hospital on Monday (Nov. 21) after several off the wall incidents.
According to TMZ, the LAPD responded to a medical welfare call about 1:20 p.m. Paramedics ended up transporting Kanye to the hospital by ambulance. He reportedly resisted and had to be restrained when transported.
Although no criminal activity was suspected, the decision to admit West to the hospital was over concerns for his own health and safety.
West was examined by one of his doctors for severe sleep deprivation around the time it was decided that he needed to be admitted.
West faced a bizarre week before being hospitalized. He voiced his support for Donald Trump, and ranted against Beyoncé, Jay Z, Drake, and others onstage before canceling the remaining dates on his “Saint Pablo Tour.”
TMZ reported that exhaustion was behind the cancellation. “He’s just exhausted,” said the source. “He’s been working around the clock on fashion design, both his own line and the Adidas line.”
West’s wife Kim Kardashian is by his side after canceling her first major public appearance since being robbed in Paris.
We pray for West’s speedy recovery. No one knows what kind of demons he’s dealing with.
