“It never stops, like the Muslims and Christians,” raps common as he does his part to help bring change to his hometown.
Along with the new song, Common has announced plans for a new album in 2014.
“2014 will be one of my greatest times in music,” Common tells REVOLT. “I feel excited about the project that I’m working on. It’s called ‘Nobody Smiling’ and it’s an album that…originally I was making an EP, but we’ve just been making a lot of songs; myself and No I.D., and I liked the direction.”
No I.D. will executive produce the project, which common says “was really a thought that came about because of all the violence that was going on in Chicago.”
