Jackson, Mississippi native Lil Twon follows the success of his hit single “Bruh” with the hard-hitting new freestyle, ”Ali Bomaye.”

For Twon, growing up between his native home of Jackson, Mississippi and Dallas, Texas had much to do with his affinity for music. He was a bright student in school, with hopes of eventually going to college. But in Twon’s bleak environment, this made him a social misfit amongst his peers. Many of his friends were sucked into the street life at early ages; a close friend of his was killed in a senseless act of violence at the age of 16, while the rest of his friends were jailed. Thus, music was an escape for Twon, as well as a healthy outlet that kept him out of trouble. A gifted singer in his church and school choirs, Twon ranked number 13 out of 400 in the All-Regional choir of Dallas Fortworth.

Music remains a family affair for Twon, as his older brother, Playa Gator, is featured on “Bruh.” Once the song gained enough steam to grab the attention of Trick Daddy’s Slip-N-Slide imprint, the rest is history. Yet this is only the beginning for the young southern talent. What lies ahead might be much more than what Lil’ Twon originally intended for what began as social media fun
