Universal Newcomer MLKMN Channels Bonnie & Clyde in ‘R.I.P.’ Video/Single Ft. Mila J

Universal Music Recording artist, MLKMN released his music video "R.I.P." in which he and his girl (played by Katalina Viteri) are a modern day Bonnie and Clyde.

The video recreated the tense scene from the flick Waist Deep starring Tyrese and Meagan Good when they stick up a diner. The song features Mila J, but she’s not in the video; it would have been dope to see her in the role as his “Bonnie.”

MLK’s delivery on the track showcases the contrasting musical genres that influence him and genre-bending sound of hip-hop and R&B that is exploding within mainstream music today. "I just wanted to have a record that reflects the border, where it’s a mix of Southern hip-hop, Cumbia, and Tejano" says MLK, who’s Mexican-born and Texas-raised.

The rapper is working on his next project which will be released at the end of the on Universal Music Latin Entertainment/Machete Music/MeccaLani.
