Three 6 Mafia Spotlight The Memphis Music Scene in ‘Budweiser Made in America’ Documentary

Three 6 Mafia are what we call true Southerners!

In episode 6 of the ‘Budweiser Made in America’ documentary series, group member Project Pat chats about coming up in the Memphis music scene, insisting that the people “just stuck on it,” when it came to their music, which helped them get on. Pat also talks about showing other artists love (unlike how they do things in places like New York), and growing up around drugs, even spilling that a junkie burnt his Gran Momma house down.

The doc also features personal stories from Big Star’s Jody Stephens, who says Memphis is known for its “independent spirit,” Peter Buck, employees from Goner Records, Ex-Cult (band), and The Nots. In addition, it also spotlights Stax Records and its rise to prominence while breaking down segregation walls.

Cool look at Memphis, but it sounds like Project Pat may not be feeling New Yorkers…LOL.
