LL Cool J, N.W.A Nominated for Rock And Roll Hall of Fame

LL Cool J and N.W.A will represent for hip-hop as the only two rap acts to be nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2014.

Both released their debut albums 25 years before 2012, which is a prerequisite to be eligible (LL’s 1985 debut LP "Radio," and N.W.A’s 1988 album "Straight Outta Compton").

This is the second year fans are allowed to vote for which acts will be inducted into the hall of fame, which you can do here. Voting ends on Dec. 10, and the class of 2014 will be announced shortly after voting closes.

Other nominations include funk band Chic, Alternative band Nirvana, singers Linda Ronstadt and Cat Stevens, pop duo Hall and Oates, rock groups Kiss and the Replacements, rock guitarist Link Wray, and British rock bands Yes, Deep Purple and the Zombies.
