by In light of recent rumors of the cause of Lil Wayne’s seizures, the rapper has finally addressed the reason, and drugs aren’t the cause.
“I'm an epileptic, I'm prone to seizures,” Wayne told Los Angeles’s Power 106. He explained that he has had the neurological disorder for a while now and gets minor seizures all the time, but this time was a bit more serious. “I've had a bunch of seizures, y'all just never hear about them. But this time it got real bad 'cause I had three of them in a row and on the third one, my heart rate went down to like 30 percent. Basically, I could've died, so that is why it was so serious,” he explained. But the severity of this set of seizures was brought on by stress and hard work, not drugs, as rumors would have it. But the reason being for the seizures is just plain stress, no rest, overworking myself."
He goes on to reveal that the debilitating medical condition happens so much, that the people around him know how to handle it. Hopefully, his status as a high profile celebrity will bring light to more awareness of the epileptic disorder.
