50 Cent Brags About Cancelation of Ex’s TLC Reality Show ‘Starter Wives’

If you’ve been enjoying the chance to get a peek into the lives of the ex-wives of some of your favorite rappers and athletes via TLC’s Starter Wives Confidential, we regret to inform you that the show has been scrapped, and you have 50 Cent to thank. The Jamaica Queens rapper is taking full credit for canceling the show which featured his ex-flame Shaniqua Tompkins, along with DMX’s ex-wife Tashera Simmons, and boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. and NBA star Lamar Odom’s exes.

The announcement of the show’s end came yesterday (Feb. 18) from TLC execs, but the show has had looming lawsuits from 50 ordering his ex to have limited appearances. One of the show’s cast members, ex-wife of New York DJ Funkmaster Flex, acknowledged this in an open letter: "It's no secret Starter Wives Confidential was plagued by legal inquiries and possible lawsuits from the beginning. Starting with Shanequa Tompkins (sic) being missing from all the episodes, her ex 50 Cent allegedly had an agreement or contract with her of some sort that either prevented or made it difficult for her to partake in the show."

50 Cent is proud of his efforts to spoil the show’s development. Via Twitter, the rap mogul sarcastically tweeted, "I want to apologize to cast of Starter Wives for having the show pulled off the net work (sic). i sincerely hope you find work".
