Chief Keef Jailed For Violating His Probation

Chief Keef may go from ‘Finally Rich‘ to not spending a dime. According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the resident rapper was jailed on Tuesday after violating his probation. The 17-year-old, real name Keith Cozart, was sentenced to 18 months probation in January 2012 for pointing a gun at Chicago Police officers.

According to prosecutors, Keef violated his probation back in June after visiting a gun range in New York – He was prohibited by the judge from having contact with firearms. His attorney argued that he fired a rifle on private property as part of a promotional video, but according to Judge Carl Anthony Walker, the “Sosa” rapper demonstrated a “willful disregard” to the court’s orders.

Keef was led out of court in handcuffs and will be held until Thursday when the judge will hold a sentencing hearing.

Chief Keef released his debut album, Finally Rich, in December 2012.
